Plan Your Visit to the 
Arctic Adventure Book Fair

Dear Parents,
Every September, the PTO hosts a Scholastic Book Fair to raise money for West El. For every dollar spent on books at the fair, the PTO receives approximately 25% of the profit. In addition to the fundraising dollars this fair raises, it also generates excitement among the kids about finding books that appeal to them! We hope you’ll find time to visit the fair during your Open House times or with your child during any hour (daytime or evening) we’re open for business.

In addition to the books, you can find the following at our fair:

Teacher’s Wish Lists. Teachers select books for their classroom libraries which you can purchase and
dedicate to the class from your child. Come visit this section at the fair.

Poster and Book Basket Raffles! Purchase a $1 raffle ticket for a chance to win a basket of popular
book fair books or a poster of your child’s choice.

Volunteers Needed
This event requires a lot of volunteers to be successful. Volunteering at events like this help you to connect with
other West El parents.

Buying Books During Class Visits
If you send order forms into the fair with your child, please remember to include tax in
your payment (6.25%). You can send in cash or checks payable to West Elementary PTO with your
child and any instructions on book purchases.

In case you miss the book fair
The online version of the fair (which still benefits West El) runs from 9/11 to 9/24.
Any books purchased from the online book fair will be shipped to your home. You can access the online book fair
