Q: What time does school start?
A: Supervision before school begins at 8:15 am. The school day starts at 8:40 am. If you arrive after 8:40, your student must be signed in by and adult at the main office. Dismissal begins at 2:45 pm.

Q: If my child will be late to school or miss school, whom do I contact?
A: Please call the West Absentee line, 978-247-5301.

Q: Does my child need permission to go home with another family?
A: Yes. You must (in writing) send a change of dismissal note to your child's teacher.

Q: Can my child go home on a different bus for a play date?
A: No.

Q: Do the children play outside in the winter for recess?
A: Yes. The children go out year round as much as possible. In the winter, make sure to pack enough warm clothes. If your child loves the snow, make sure he or she has proper snow playing clothes.

Q: Is there a "lost and found" at the school?
A: Yes. There is a site outside of the cafeteria at the school.

Q: Can I come to eat lunch with my child?
A: No.  However in grade 1 and 3, the school does invite parents to eat with their children once during the school year. An announcement will be made.

Q: How does my child purchase breakfast or lunch in the cafeteria?
A: Your child will be given a PIN # by the school.  You may then go to www.sendmoneytoschool.com to deposit money into their lunch account. You may also send in a check to the school made payable to Andover School Food Service in an envelope marked clearly with your student's name, ID #, teacher's name, the $ amount and the check #. Students will enter their PIN# each time they purchase lunch. You will be notified when their lunch account balance is low.

Q: How can I access my child's report card?
A: In order to access your child's teacher's page and report cards, please do the following;       
      Visit the Family Portal link under Parents on the APS website. The APS site has lots of helpful information:http://www.aps1.net/index.aspx?nid=1350 to get you acclimated.
      If you have forgotten or misplaced your password, email a request to Infosys@aps1.net.
      Finally, log on!
