Scrip - The Gift Card Shopping Cart Fundraiser
Just in time for holiday shopping, the Scrip program is back at West El! What is Scrip? Scrip is a term that means "substitute money." When you purchase Scrip, you're purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use Scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for West Elementary. Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families don't have to sell anything. Organization members produce revenue by making regular household purchases they would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with Scrip. Perfect for this time of year! How Scrip works:
How to place your order:
- Purchasing gift cards is made easy through the order form that came home in your child's backpack or on-line orders.
- The cards are then distributed to the students directly and brought home via backpack. An email will be sent to you when your order has been sent home.
- Shop as you would have, and West Elementary receives the designated percentage corresponding to specific retailers. Note that some retailers give us much higher percentages than others!
How to place your order:
- Use the paper order form sent home via your child's backpack and submit with check payable to West El PTO through your child's teacher.
- Or order on-line at www.shopwithscrip.com. When you go to this site you will first "Create An Account." After you hit "I accept" you will then be prompted to enter West Elementary's Enrollment Code: D21B7F7721532. When placing your order on-line, print out the voucher and submit with check payable to West El PTO through your child's teacher.
