Heritage Night at West Elementary will be held this year on Thursday, May 1, 2025 from 5:30 PM to 8 PM. If you didn't attend last year, it's a wonderful family event that gives an opportunity for West Elementary families (parents, teachers and staff) to showcase our community's diverse cultures and more so, share the special customs and traditions that make each of us unique. Children will have the chance to "fly" from country to country with passports, and immerse themselves in a variety of activities to learn about countries that make up our vibrant, diverse and rich community!
Its guaranteed to be a fun evening for all with crafts, performances, music, food, photo booth and even more fun activities!
This cannot happen without the active participation of EVERYONE in the West Elementary Community. More details to come, but if you are Interested in hosting a table or putting on a performance reflecting your heritage, we have a sign up HERE and see more details below.

We are thrilled that you're considering representing a country at this year's Heritage Night at West Elementary School! If you’d like to represent a country and host a "Country Booth," please sign up when you RSVP to the event HERE. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your heritage and share your family’s unique traditions with the West El community!

1️⃣ Before the Event: Plan and prepare your "All About My Country" poster, organize activities, and arrive 30 minutes early to set up your table.
2️⃣ During the Event: Engage with students and families, sharing interesting facts and traditions about your country.
3️⃣ After the Event: Help clean up your table.
We encourage participation from all generations! Whether you’re a first, second, or even third-generation representative, connect with your grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, or other family members to gather unique insights about your country of origin.

When you show up and check in, the PTO has purchased passports for all children to enjoy this event. Please be sure to indicate the number of people in your party at sign up so we have enough!
